Riser Guards
Custom Utility, a division of Custom Plastics, Inc.,
introduces its new line for pole protection. The product
line includes riser guards, back plates, adapter boots,
guard repair couplers and ground wire molding.
Manufactured by ISO 9001 Certified Plastic Extruder, the
pole protection line is non-conductive, meets all
requirements specified by NEMA PH41 and is approved by
the Rural Electrical Administration (REA).

- Riser Guards are manufactured from high
impact, flame retardant PVC.
- Riser Guards meet all requirements
specified in NEMA PH41. Our menufacturing
facility is also recognized by Underwriters
Laboratories. The Rural Electrical
Administration (REA) has listed our cable
guards in both electrical and telephone
divisions where applicable.
- Riser Guards are maintenance free,
impervious to all weather conditions and
corrosive atmosphere.
- Riser Guards have Shure Grip™ ribbing to
minimize grip slippage during installation.
- Riser Guards are easy to install over
cables. The unique belled end allows for
quick, snug installation.
- Riser Guards are nonconductive,
protecting against accidental grounding or
power voltage loss.
- Sizes range from ˝” to 6”diameters in 5’
and 10’ lengths in schedule 30, 40, and 80.
